The Delta Parent Club will meet on Tuesday, April 24th. Parents will be planning the 2012 Graduation Ceremony and Teacher Appreciation Week. All parents and interested community members are invited.
All 9th, 10th and 11th grade students will take the California State Standards test for English, Social Studies and Math. Students will take these test during their normal school hours on Wednesday and Thursday, April 25 and 26th. Seniors must attend on those days, also.
Orientation for new students and their parents will take place on Monday, January 2, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in room 1194. New students and parents must attend in order to start school on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.
Happy Holidays! Delta School will be on winter break from December 16-January 3. All students return for Winter Term on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.

The Fall Term is coming to a close very quickly. Here are some important dates:
Friday, December 9 Last day to turn in student work for second half of Fall term.
Monday and Tuesday, December 12-13, Fall Finals, regular schedule.
Wednesday, December 14, Teacher Workday, students do not attend.
Thursday, December 15, is Final Evaluation Day. All students must attend, with their parent, during their appointment time.

Lightfoot Industries: Pop-up Supper Club! Fantastic food!
We are so fortunate to have support in our Exploring Life’s Options program.
Cabrillo College and Career Night is this Monday, November 7, 2011. Students and parents will be able to meet with public, private and out-of-state college representatives. Career exploration opportunities will be available. All students are required to attend.
Classes for Fall term start on Monday, August 22!
Delta has openings in the Independent Studies and Lightfoot programs. Lightfoot combines academic classes with an entrepreneurial training program. Lightfoot students attend product development classes, work on an organic farm, study social media, practice yoga and staff a supper club. Delta accepts 10-12th grade students who have not found success in other high schools. For more information or to schedule an admissions appointment, please call 477-5212.
The final Delta Parent Club meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 24, from 7:00-8:00 in room 1194. Please join us for this important meeting. We need parent support for the Delta Graduation Ceremony. Trevor Cavanagh, academic counselor and assistant principal, will be sharing information from his recent training in drug identification. Mary Gaukel Forster will discuss how the state budget crisis impacts the Delta budget for 2011-12. Please call 477-5212 for more information.
